Just a 2nd thought, do your IC pipes have a bead or lip around the end? If it's not there (some cheap IC pipe kits miss them), it could be the reason for them slipping off. The bead is needed to give the clamp something to act against.

it does not matter how much force you exert on the tube eventually it will slide off even with Mikalor (i am talking from experience here), you either need the ends of the tube swaging or a weld bead, with these in place the crappiest of the crap jubilee clips will surfice

I'll second that. No matter what you clamp it with if there's no lip it won't stay on. I found this out on my mk4 when I had it that someone had bodged a bit of pipe in the intercooling pipework with no lip on one end and despite some serious glues etc and double jubilees (it was plastic pipe so I couldn't go crazy with clamps) it just wouldn't hold. I replaced the pipe with one that had a lip at each end and whallah it never came off again
