Homer Posted April 3, 2009 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Just a 2nd thought, do your IC pipes have a bead or lip around the end? If it's not there (some cheap IC pipe kits miss them), it could be the reason for them slipping off. The bead is needed to give the clamp something to act against. I found this out on my mk4 when I had it that someone had bodged a bit of pipe in the intercooling pipework with no lip on one end and despite some serious glues etc and double jubilees (it was plastic pipe so I couldn't go crazy with clamps) it just wouldn't hold.
