dani_r
Afternoon! I'm pulling my JSpec calipers apart this week for painting. I will be overhauling the pistons etc. I know that one of the sliding pins in the rear is sticking. Can anyone please recommend a process for cleaning the various parts up after I pull the caliper apart and rebuild? Including the pistons, piston bores, sliding pins, and especially the sliding pin bores. With regards to the sliding pins, would it be better to replace these fully rather than cleaning them? These are about £6 each through Steve. I will be getting the caliper seal refurb kits, as well as new sliding pin dust boots, sliding pin bushings, and I think top pad support plates for the front brakes as i believe these are non-reusable parts. I priced up some new anti-squeal shim kits from Steve Manley but don't think these will be necessary. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again Dan
