First of all, Ey up all,

new here so I'll just fill you in abit about me, I'm currently a Skyline GTR owner and have been for the past 2 years, I absolutely love my GTR as it's one of my dream cars, the other been a Supra TT aero

Well due the inurance (and a wedding) time may be coming to trader my beauty in, so here are my possible options, now my immediate thought was a N/A Supra Manual to try and sav as much money as possible, but, didn't realise that there only 230 bhp, which would be a hellish drop in HP, but I do love the cars looks,

My insurance bloke has informed me however that even if I trade in for TT Supra, this would save me a wad on my insurance which would help, lots!!!

As experienced Supra lovers, whats your thoughts on my fix?

Kind regards

Si

The aeros only came in auto first up. Your options would be go out and by a TT or find yourself a nice cheap NA and do the engine conversion (NA-TT) at some point. The conversion could set you back upto around £3k fitted.

By the way dont dismiss a TT auto. The autoboxes are superb. I certainly recommend you try a couple before buying. With regards to an NA auto, I have one and they are tidy enough but with an NA a manual would be preferred.

There is loads of info regarding this topic on here so a search will bag you loads of helpfull advice while waiting for replies:)

Spot on, don't think I'd enjoy a auto to be honest, I love going through the gears of my GTR, whats the 0-60 time on the n/a manual?

so about 7's then, not as bad as I thought, just was worried a bigger car than my skyline and 230 bhp thought it would struggle, obviously puts it down well

Not half bad for a big heavy car really. Here's a fine example of what you may be looking for:)

My NA auto is happy alongside most things upto an RX8 really and is fine when compared to just about any normal car you'll see on the road.

Having said that though I am doing the conversion in the comming weeks:D

Yeah sorry I pressed the wrong button and put the same pic on!! thanks for your comments, heres the right up for it

2 Doors, Manual, Coupe, Petrol, 60,000 miles, Black, This is a stunning normally aspirated 5 speed Supra SZ with Veilside rear spoiler, Veilside side skirts, front lip spoiler, new staggered 18" Hockienhiem style alloy wheels, strut brace, carbon gear knob, and Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system that remotely opens and closes the doors. Air conditioning, climate control, electric windows, central locking, electric driver's seat are fitted.

Said he's do it for 5500 and give me 1500 for mine, not sure if he's over charging for a 1994???

One thing I must say though, it's nice to see that this forum is just as welcoming as the one I'm a member of, appreciate your time

No worries:) I would have to say though that at about £5500 I think its a little high. Though not to bad with the p/x. I'm not so good on pricing though really so somebody else will guide you better.

I would have thought you would get more than £1500 for yours though if you sell it privately. If you pay the £10 membership fee you can chuck it on here too. You'll also find alot more info once fully paid up. And you'll get it all back at the suprapod and billing weekend;)

£5.5k is silly money for that car. There's much more available here for a hell of a lot less.

How much HP are you used to on the Skyline? Could you really (and honestly) live with 220bhp and no option to modify it without going the TT swap route? I've owned a stock TT (300ish bhp), BPU TT (420bhp) and single (545bhp) before and quite honestly the current NA feels extremely slow compared to any of those.

For the sort of budget you have available a TT auto might be the best choice for you. There's bags of power to be released with very little expense, insurance is the same as an NA and the auto is the quicker car off the mark (though personally I find them not as much fun on the road.). The TT auto is great on A and M roads, but not so enjoyable on the twisties.

your budget will not get a TT 6spd unless you are very, very lucky.
