oil temp gauge for gear box

is there any need for a expensive one of these? or will a cheapy 25 quid one do? as its only a temp gauge after all?

 

need on to check my oil temps in my boost logic auto box. any idea of the kind of temp figures it should be in?

There are quite a few different guages you can go for, the AEM one that is quite good. There are cheaper options i.e. Pro Sport oil temp with peak warning etc. You can either use a 'T' piece or tap into the gearbox oil sump plug.

 

There is loads on autobox temps but I would say between 50-70c is ideal.

Which ones have you been looking at?

Im after one as well but defi one is something daft like £150:blink:
