Missfiring after coil pack connector refresh

This post is to help anyone searching if they have the same problem I did on Saturday.

Refreshed coil pack connectors and changed spark plugs, went for a drive. All good until turbos kicked then, then it felt/sounded like a rev limiter kicking in.

After much sodding about trying to isolate the fault I found that I'd got the conductors to the coil pack the wrong way round on cylinder 1. The wires are a different colour on this one and it must have confused me.

Interestingly it was causing an intermittent missfire rather than no spark at all on that cylinder!

was this doing it on both turbo's or just the second 1, and was it doing it all the time.

Reason i ask if every time i do a trackday or drift day i seem to have a silly missfire on the way home but then goes away after a few days of driving the car, i also changed my clips and plugs but never checked what way i installed the wires in the new clips.

dam not my problem, i have bought 6 coil packs so will change those to see if that helps, i had my turbo's on the TTC mod but found it just kept wheel spinning, and i love the sound of the exhaust on normal twin.

I have thought about fitting a switch so i can choose TTC as and when i want as i did like the kick, running my uk at 1.35 was quick.
