wilkorangerover
Hi there thinking of some engine mods for my recent hks to4r single turbo facelift supra, i was wondering what the positives/negatives are if i do this, cheers also i was wondering what bar my turbo(hks to4r)is good for? with supporting fuelling mods currently running 1.04bar and 45% injector duty cheers
Homer
The turbo will be good for well over 2 bar, you just need the supporting mods to make it work. At it's high end, that means fully built engine, race fuel, high end ECU & map, plus a shit load else. Cams need to be chosen to match with your power demands. Mid range torque = stock, seriously high end power with mods to match = 272 or even more wild. It's been discussed a hundred times, have a search of the tech section. Homer
what power would 2 bar be?? its really fast now at a bar (i have an hks fcon pro gold ecu At 1 bar it'll hardly be doing anything (dependant on the map, it might be horribly lean, you never know). 1.4 is where a turbo of this size starts to do it's thing (and a massive difference from 1 bar) At 2 bar, it should be around the 650-700bhp mark, but this would never be possible on the road unless you have serious supply of exotic fuel.
