L33
is there any need for me to change my standard ones for my single build? aiming for 600bhp not sure if there just for appearance or they do any thing? heard some bad things about 1.3 bar caps? not that i have a clue what that stands for on a rad? if i should up grade, what to? thanks
Stonkin
i believe the general opinion is stay stock mate. Increasing the rad cap pressure will cause any other weaker areas to blow. Its far better the cap blows if there is a problem not quite sure with regard to oil caps... L33
ok mate cheers for that. just seen in most engine pics there is non standard oil and rad caps and thought it was a must for high bhp cars. rather stay standard as the caps seem expensive for what they are!! Stonkin
When mine was being mapped, Ryan TOLD me to remove the rad cap and replace with stock
L33
thats confirmed it then! cheers when ryan mapped your car did you change your spark plugs? just read when looking for spark plugs for my build, when mapping you should use carbon plugs then put in the uprated ones, not sure which i need yet but for eg the iridium onces ect
Stonkin
To be fair the car had long been built and mapped, The work i had done with Ryan was more as a check over as some of the afr's were playing silly buggers, although i know he changed quite a bit.
