8 inches...

Still searching for new alloys - everytime I find something I like, they're either too expensive or don't come in the correct fitment om 18" rims (8.5" & 9.5" preferred).

 

So... on 18" diameters, would 8" fronts and 9" rears be ok for widths? How would this affect handling? Does it depend on the offset?

It's best to get as close to stock sizes as possible (8x17 -50 F; 9.5x17 -50 R)

 

However, 9 inch rear witdh should be okay provided the offset is enough to compensate. It's obviously advisable to get a full geometry check done after the change to make sure everything is in order.
