jevansio
I currently run a 3" DP/MP combo (4" exhaust) with wastegate plumbed back in. If I were to change this for a 4" DP/MP with screamer would I see any performance gains, changes in EGT's, changes in spool etc? I understand it'll be louder & lower. Alex
Don't think it's worth it. You might gain a little response but that's about it, 3" is good for your application. 4" is for silly figure chasing.

Or for a super sweet exhaust note if used with a boost logic exhaust system
Nic
I doubt you'll see any gain and you'll have less ground clearance.
Steve
Or for a super sweet exhaust note if used with a boost logic exhaust system I can confirm that Although i must be getting old as i am getting a silencer fitted to tone it down a little. jevansio
So basically no performance gains but it'll sound better, I'm sold then
jevansio
Struck a deal with Kev O. for his setup, is this a job a fairly novice can install?

jevansio
I managed it So yes Cool, my exhaust is 4" vband so I'm hoping it shouldn't be too difficult. I guess I'll need a screamer pipe, can you buy a screamer seperately? My wastegate is also a vband connection.

My wastegate is also a vband connection. Connecting the v-bands are really easy I believe you can get screamer pipes, but after getting one from the states and it not fitting, I had one made at my local longlife place. You can buy the v-band connections from somewhere like turbo dynamics
jevansio
Cheers Kev, I figured a custom one may be better as I can then have it exit exactly where I want so it's not pointing at anything (front subframe etc).
jevansio
Can anyone confirm what I ask for (in terms of size) when I buy a v-band connection? The wastegate is the HKS 60mm version.

I guess you just tell them the model number. I've had a look on google and all I can find is the flange set: Linky.

Cheers Kev, when I take my old downpipe off I'll take detailed measurments of where the wastegate bolts on so I can ask turbo dynamics,
