Hi guys,

Just a quickie..... Do you have to take the dash apart to take out the standard jap stereo?? I'm sick of radio two and really want to put my own head unit in!

If so, how long does it take to get to the radio?? Would you guys reccomend getting a proffessional to put my head unit in??

Thanks in advance,
Red.

You do have to take part of the dash surround out to remove the stereo but it isn't too difficult really I wouldn't pay someone to do it.

Just be careful and take your time and you'll be fine.

Yep all documented on here, if you do a search it should pop the threads up with details!

Thanks fellas,

That is a good guide, wonder why I couldn't find it!! Anyway. I got it fitted. Heres a pic, what do ya think. Its a sony headunit. Nothing special, but it plays cd's and cd's with MP3's burnt onto them, so its just what I wanted. Cost me £169.

Here's a pic. The little shelf unit under it was already in the car, so it saved me having to buy one :)

Now to play with the speakers.......
