supra/aristo engine

hello.. ive checked prevous threads and im looking to see what you really have to change to fit an aristo engine in the supra. also will an auto tt loom and ecu work with it or do you need the aristo loom etc? any help please!

take it you mean mk1 aristo not the vvti one?

yes.i think the engine is the same as a jspec tt supra definatly non vvti

to my knowlage the sumps are diffrent and the water pump.

also think the intake manifold is diffrent?

there was a member on hear who put a aristo engine into his supra and listed the diffrences

maybe worth posting the link on hear? there will prob be a few other people in the near future doing the same

here's a list of all that's required to change from the bottom up.

Upper and lower sump are the opposite way around so you will need to put a supra one on.

Doing this also means you need to fit a supra strum as the aristo 1 is the wrong way around also.

Engine mount brackets are shorter that a supra so don't do what I did and lower the engine in before you notice.

I think the oil feed and drain configuration is slightly different but you should be able to leave that alone IIRC.

Water pump is totally different.

Don't know about the a/c and pas as the engine I bought came with them removed.

The intake and throttle body are also different as an aristo doesn't have the brake vacum pipe on top of the plenum.

The turbo pipes where the recurc valve goes is also different. With an aristo the recurc valve bolts directly onto the pipe other wise a supra has it attatched with a hose.

The wiring loom and the ecu are the same so there'd no need to change either of them.

thats the part. Always thought it was called a strum dont know why. Its the sive type bit that goes in the sump that the oil is strained through.
