trinitom
anyone have an idea of the max speed from a w58 box on (each gear)? just curious!
Homer
It depends which diff you have installed, also if you have aftermarket wheels or tyre's those will alter things. Some details here assuming stock wheels and tyre's: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=29830 Assuming it's a 5spd NA: Top Speed in 1 gear = 38.131 MPH And changes into 2 gear at 4036 RPM dropping 2964 RPM Top Speed in 2 gear = 66.136 MPH And changes into 3 gear at 4712 RPM dropping 2288 RPM Top Speed in 3 gear = 98.244 MPH And changes into 4 gear at 5490 RPM dropping 1510 RPM Top Speed in 4 gear = 125.261 MPH And changes into 5 gear at 5481 RPM dropping 1519 RPM Top Speed in 5 gear = 159.976 MPH
trinitom
sz tt convertin with w58 and lsd diff! so with lsd diff should be a bit more for each gear, i think!
Homer
The LSD means nothing when it comes to ratio. The ratio all depends on the car the diff came from, was it an NA or TT? If a TT, was it from an auto or 6spd? I'm assuming it came from an NA 5spd (which I guess is your base car), in which case the figures above are applicable. Homer
Probably best to PM Miko and ask, he will be able to confirm. Didn't even realise he'd sold the car, thats a bit of a surprise after all the work that had gone into it!

dibbleyuk
BTW if you drive it hard dont run it at 1.2bar of boost your gearbox wont last long, look at a few of my resent threads.
