SP quick spool valve

Ive been doing some reading on this thing and was looking for second opinions:

On a twin scroll turbo, it shuts down one of the scrolls and therefore all gasses are forced into one inlet of the turbo. Higher pressure and quicker spool. As boost builds, the valve opens.

One more thing to go wrong and unnecessary complication IMHO, a properly sized single on a Supra should give more than ample power and good spool. Exactly how many rpms does it knock off a DBB T67 sized turbo?

Edit : Here's the link to the full text on SF http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=481292

Still not sure it's for me, for the agro of fitting etc, 250rpms on a GT45R, under 200 on something like mine. How many people are using it in the States & are the end user findings as good as the hype by SP. We all know how companies will twist figures for marketing purposes

Same as my boostlogic, you could use it if you spaced the turbo up a bit with a undived spacer but with the effort thats needed and the gains you get id not bother.

I see what you're saying, but with the spacer, and the valve, the turbo would sit a fair bit higher than what it curretly does.

Surely the gases hitting the valve from the front three runners and bouncing back down towards the gases from the rear three runners must cause a disturbance in the exhaust gas flow right? Or am I just chatting out of my @ss?

Yeah might do, on a small turbo like a T67 i dont see the point tbh, boost is basically instant, might be handy on a GT55:cool:
