Hydraulic release bearing, advice needed

I was looking at some of the extra boxes that came with my engine and noticed that I have an hydraulic release bearing included. Great, I think? Anyone have any experience of fitting one of these? I have some instructions, but they are very technical. Not a problem, but first off, I need to know what standard hardware I need to install before the bearing goes on the input shaft. Any help greatly received.

Here's a pic of the standard stuff, http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1995_TOYOTA_SUPRA_JZA80-ALFVZ_3101.html

And some info on the hydraulic bearing, http://www.racingclutches.com/product.phtml?p=52&cat_key=89 - from this link you can also view the detailed fitting instructions that came included.

There's some information and pictures in this thread on Club Lexus (1UZ and 6-speed Getrag with a Quartermaster hydraulic bearing in a Lexus SC400).

Might be worth searching the Lextreme and v-eight.com forums as well.

Thanks Chris, those pictures are a help. Using a straight edge on the bellhousing face is a good idea. Cheers for advice on the phone too.

I think I'm going to have a go at fitting this as its been supplied to me and will work with the clutch. If I have problems making a custom mount for the bearing, I may try a different type. I've also spoken to the chap on the club lexus forum who has done the exact same conversion with the same components. He says that as long as the bearing is centered and fixed to the bellhousing face, it should be fine. He reports no problems or excessive wear on the clutch fingers.
