How to Remove the Rear Window Wiper?

Remove wiper arm.

Pull off the plastic liner on the inside of the tailgate, the full thing right across the inside of the tailgate.

Finally, unbolt the wiper motor and place carefully in bin.

That easy then. Thats great, thanks.

I have already removed the plastic liner from inside the tailgate. I guess i can just tape up the motor terminals and forget about them then?

You can get a large rubber gromet from Halfords for the hole, but you will need to seal it with some silicone from the inside

I did that with my last car, i've already spoke with the guy who is spraying my car, he is just going to use some filler. Reckoned welding a plate in would be overkill and dangerous as its so close to the window.

Will hopefully get the hole filled in mine during the summer, going to get the strip brake light taken out and filled as well.

Already removed the rear wiper and grometted it

I would weld the plate in dude or at the very least fibreglass a plate on the inside before you fill it. There is no chance of damaging the rear window as long as they cover it before welding, if its done properly you only need a very thin scim of filler to get the repair spot on.;)

Its off, was pretty easy once i figured out the bit covering the nut was a bloody cover lol. I was trying to unscrew the large nut without taking off the wiper first. Wasn't until i accidentally pulled up with the spanner that it flipped open.

Anyway, job done. I'm going to recommend the plate. Even if its fibreglassed in it will do the trick better :D

What size is the hole? I need to get a rubber gromet, because I don't plan to paint it in the nearest future. What size gromet did you get? I live in Denmark so I can't go to Halfords:(

I might need the motor from your wiper if you're selling...
