What fuel is best?

This is really a question for the n/a crowd I suppose, but any advice is appreciated.

Since having my last car (imported Celica) Ive been in the habit of only ever putting in 97RON or above (Ultimate, V-Power etc.). The question is, is it OK to use normal 95RON fuel in my n/a, or should I stick to the strong stuff?

My missus puts 95 unleaded in her's... i keep on telling her to put Optimax in

Stick to the strong stuff imo you cant go wrong that way bud.

95 ron is perfectly fine for the NA. It's only the turbo cars that need the higher octane fuel to help starve off det.

Exactly. I used 95 on my N/A without the problem no reason to put V-Power or similar to normal use

All that. 95 all day long for me... I put VPower or whatever in if they've ran out of normal.. but it really makes no difference

I use V-power all the time. I was on V-power during the last dyno day we had and made 226hp, im curious if my hp would drop if I started using 95. Shell claim to add extra additives to V-power to flush out the system, this may be BS but my car feels strong, especially on a cold crisp day.

Well, Ill be using 95 from now on then! Isnt there some myth about all Jap imports needing high octane fuel, or is that just FI cars?

When I first got the NA I put in Optimax etc and then went to 95 Ron, made no difference what so ever.....

It's 2 years since I put higher octane stuff in without any issues!!

Using a little V Power or the other higher rons does do your engine good. Keeps the injectors and pump clean. Use 95 but every few tanks, put the good stuff in.
