It's no where near as difficult as it looks, you don't even need to solder the connections, just crimp connectors will do it. You can do no permanent damage to the car as the only section of loom you'll attack is not part of the main loom.

 

It was my first adventure into auto electrics, and I can tell you it's much easier than splicing a feed into the ABS circuit for RLTC. whilst standing on your head :D
