Guest gfrererr13 Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Ok so i recently purchased my 93 mkiv supra na and am loving it! But a very mysterious thing happens... Ok so driving along and say i hit the highway i shift into 5th gear and no less than 2 min later the check engine light comes on! WTF! I would pull over and check it out everything is fine no low coolants or nothing! I can shut off the car and the light goes away! and will not come back on... the only other time that light has come on when im not in 5th is i was driving on the highway in 4th(was not paying attention..stupid me) for like 20 min and then it came on again... so i have absolutely no idea why it would only do this in 5th mainly and i have asked my mechanic friends and i was hoping that someone on here may have an idea... MrRalphMan Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 I had something similar when a garage incorrectly refitted a fuse. The active spoiler would not deploy and the warning light came on when above 56MPH. The down light also flashed until the car was switched off and on again. DannoSupra Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 We had similar problem on my missus N/A, ended up being the speed delimiter wired wrong, it was just a case of rewiring, took 10mins. all good! Guest gfrererr13 Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 i have not checked yet no, i was reading a different post about them tho and the one code a guy got was 42 when he gets to the bottom of a hill and puts it into neutral (clutch in for me) his car shuts off, and my car actually does that as well that code means No.1 speed sensor(if i remember correctly)... have u had to troubleshoot that sensor before?
