Hey guys ive decided when my insurance runs out this year i want to change my sup i want a 6sp and a well setup single turbo. I just want to know what a single feels like and if a member on here would be kind enough to take for a passenger run i dont mind travelling up to you. Oh and obvisouly when the roads dry up and its safe.

choose your members ride with care, some poor singles out there, however pick a good one and you will be amazed at the power and the sheer fun of a good single, the noise is worth a mention as is the feel that not much on a straight road can touch it

Also worth a mention that this comes at a cost and you will need to be commited to fixing things more often than with a stock car and the fuel bill gets interesting

I never regret it really and it puts a big smile on your face when all is working as it should, pick your tuner with care also and talk to single owners about the best set ups and places to buy parts

I know the car will cost more to take care of but thats fine i can deal with that, i dont do too many miles either i managed 2000 odd last year. I want something to enjoy that im happy with and will keep for a while. Im gona take my time looking around for whats on sale but ideally i want a car thats been converted properly and works well. Ive got untill may so thats enough time do you guys think £15k is enough for what im after.

:yeahthat: And also be careful when choosing your mapper. From what i've seen on here, a decent mapper can make or break a great car.

Thanks for your help but before i buy anything or do anything i will ask on here and its better to be safe than sorry.

Bignum and I will be at Rockingham on 1st March, I've promised my passenger seat to Branners for most of the day and a few others throughout the day, but I'm sure you could nip in for one session with me (and possible bignum if you asked nicely) if you had nothing to do that day.

its bpu at the moment i enjoy the power from at the moment but just crave more

To quote something I've seen here before (I think Jake posted it originally but apologies to the author if I'm wrong!):

- cheap

- fast

- reliable

...pick 2.

Wise words. A lot of people have tried to go single on the cheap and been besieged with issues afterwards. If you really, really want to go big power, choose your setup, manpower and mapper carefully - and preferably choose them together so you get good advice and are headed for a workable solution before paying any £££££.
