Hope you can help! I've got a '95-UK, so i guess the headunit is standard GZ stuff. The trouble is in the boot, all that's in there is a lead coming from the front, with a rectangular plug on it, and the brackets where a CD player once sat!!:conf:
Me local dealer says a replacement Supra one will be £450, if they can get one. The local ICE installer rubbed his hands together and said i'd have to start again and replace the whole lot.... Dont get me wrong i want to eventually, but i want to sort some other stuff out on the car 1st.
My question is, is there another brand of multiplayer that can fit the Toyota plug?? I miss me 'Buns & Toasties' CD see...
(Someone mentioned the SONY CDX69, then someone else said, it can be made to fit a Toyota, just not a Supra...EH????).
HELP.....GOTTA.....HAVE.....SOUNDS!.....NO.....MORE.....RADIO1!:p

You could always get one of those CD players that uses a radio frequency to play the sound through the head unit. Not that expensive and they normally come with a small screen that controls the player.

Phone Mr Nice and see what he can do - his phone number, address and email are on here somewhere..........:p

I'm afraid your local 'ice' dealer was correct. There is no CD changer that can be converted to work from the Supra's radio that I'm aware of. (they'll work on newer Toyota's). :(

The only suggestion I have, (other than a new head and changer package), is to scour the free-adds and E-bay, but as these changers are getting on a bit now, be careful you're not buying one that's coming to the end of it's life.

I have a j-spec boot mounted cd changer with the same conection you could have for far less than £450.
