wilkorangerover
hi guys a friend of mine has just bought a 6 speed single turbo with a hks twin plate clutch....... BUT he has never drove a car with a twin plate clutch, he`s not sure if he has trouble, as if he lets the clutch out steady and revs the car it dosent hardly move and spins up, BUT if he lets the clutch pedal up rough it seems to be ok, he wasnt sure if it was slipping(but the clutch has only been in a few months) any advise would be helpful, cheers
Homer
Is it a puck clutch? Is it pull/push - and related does it have a stock flywheel? The clutch model should give a guide if that can be supplied.

SteveR
when you press the clutch pedal down, theres like a rattling sound, is this normal??? It can be for lightened flywheels - are you sure the flywheel hasn't been changed or fiddled with?

Chris Wilson
I have never seen, nor heard of a twin plate clutch that uses the stock dual mass flywheel. I have never driven a car with an HKS twin plate clutch that drives smoothly, or without take up judder. They are like an on off switch, and with poor reliability. I no only supply Giken dual or triple plate clutches as they seem superb quality and very long lived (for a twin or triple plate performance clutch). They are NOT a drag race clutch though, being much more suited to fast road or track.
