paul mac
Fitted a new silencer today into the Greddy titanium and wow what a difference, the car is now a pleasure to drive once again. With the demise of my trusty (unfortunately rusty) superdragger i was originally going to make my own exhaust but couldn't resist the Greddy when one came up local secondhand, however the noise was driving me mad, motorways were an ear bleeding droning nightmare and any excursion beyond 3000rpm could be heard in Yorkshire as well as the inevitable blood running out of my ears . So found a Borla straight through lightweight stainless silencer with exactly the same OD as the 79-80mm Greddy pipework, obviously welding was out of the question so found some band clamps (OBX), I had to cut the whole silencer down from 12" to 10" as it was to long and riveted the end can back on so i can repack the silencer if necesary, the box itself sits in real snug in the diff area and is no lower than any other part of the exhaust system, i forgot to bring the sound meter home from work but i would say the exhaust is now just slightly louder than my old dragger

Have you noticed any decrease in power? yes i did fit the BL 4"........................it lasted about 4 hours , absolutely no difference to power delivery and to be quite honest if it cost me 10hp off the top end i really dont care as i was seriously contemplating driving the car with ear plugs in
