Alex
Do you have a UK or VVTi J-spec then? If it's std j-spec it's MAP based.

So what does that mean the UK and the vvti is a different sent up? I though the uk and the j spec eletronics where almost the same?
Ian C
UK and VVTi use a MAF and a MAP, Jspec uses just a MAP. An E-Manage Blue won't easily allow you to delete the MAF, but it could be done by substituting the MAP sensor input and mapping around the anomalies that causes. It'll be a long road though. You'll also need to work out a way of replacing the intake air temp sensor as thats built into the MAF. Only worth considering if you're going for big power single turbo I'd say, and if that's the case get an EMU instead, it has a feature that auto-populates a MAF to MAP voltage table as you drive, as well as numerous other improvements. Ignition timing could be an issue though - while it works OK on a VVTi and a Jspec, not sure if anyone ever got it to work on a UK spec. -Ian
