i think you need more then a big coolers on one of these boxes , try an extended warranty with shipping and customs included ...... thats just my view. Try doing a search for truck transmission coolers on ebay, they have built on fans with them . good luck.

ignore my remark, iam sure many people have had good reviews on them.

Best off fitting one with fan to start also fit a temp gauge to see how hot the oil is getting . after doing a lot of reading on the subject seams that 100 deg c is the max you wont to run it at before you start killing the box. you can fit a one of there's

and a fan then just see how the temps are you may need two at a push but 3 is a bit ott.

i had a rebuilt boost logic boxes , rebuilt by my gearbox guys with different parts used, thats why they are rebuilt , its a long story, iam sure you wont have the problems that i have had with the original boxes. I have a person that uprates the boxes now, he has seen the boostlogic units and stock units. the parts that he uses are different and are heavy duty.

I personally had just 1 large cooler and NEVER had any issues. The dimensions are in standard but they were roughly 11" tall by 22" wide. It was a permacool found on summit, was about $150 if i recall.

I ran times faster than anybody on the US forums with a 67dbb turbo with this setup and was approaching the times of the fastest recorded with the auto box.

I suggest 1 large cooling and get a trans temp gauge. Just keep a close eye on the temps and try not to beat on the car back to back runs. Allow sufficient cooling times and all should be well.

Not having a pop but that doesn't bode well for the rest of the build.

Some people have been lucky with the BL box, and some have been Rob Wild :p (Sorry Rob!)

was that 2 boxes, i should know , £2000 down for me and no holiday this year. the third box will be better as it has different parts compared to the BL BOXES..iam not sore of course

Michel, i totally feel ya mate. I have heard hit or miss stories all over the world with the built auto boxes (not boost logic specifc) just any upgraded box.

I feel i was lucky and my friend locally as well. His is still running strong on the 67dbb he uses with no nitrous. He hasn't seen temperatures above the 220F mark (not sure what that is in C). They say to try and not beat on them above the 200F mark. My buddy sees on average around the 180-190 mark.

If you dont drag the unit, the ONLY thing you should have to watch are really heavy stop and go driving in a traffic jam or the hwy racing. Try not to beat on it in back to back hwy pulls. Allow a few miles of cool down after a hwy pool before being aggressive again.

Tell me about it Kyle, I just find there warranty rather poor especially when i have to pay the shipping over to the US and back. Then they tell you , you have to change these setting on the AEM and do this resistor mod after 1 year down the road of informing them about the problems. Its like, are you "LISTENING TO ME !!!" well we managed to make the uprated boxes run well with the AEM now and i have found a good source for uprating them. It was never my intention to pull the boxes apart and find the difference from stock to BL, but after all these problems, I found a specialist that has compared all of them with stock units and has upated them according to his recommendations. It was the only way to get them repaired and used again. So far everything has been fine.

Hope you had a good newyear.

Michel, i totally agree. Its hard like this on any product in regards to warranty as well. Like Turbos for example, you send them in knowing THEY are the specialist and your trusting their opinion when they inspect it only to find the warranty most likely dont cover the part that has failed for whatever odd reason.

Racing parts are just frustrating at times but thats why we love the game we play....right?

I'm sitting on pins and needles over my new BMW 335i. Its got intake/exhaust/chip thats on a 20,000 mile car that i think i have voided the warranty already lol! i'm just praying nothing happens so i dont have to deal with BMW tech's and the arguements that my aftermarket parts are why such and such failed.
