scooby999
Dont get distracted by my username i dont own a scooby lol, far from it. Just bought a Supra Twin Turbo, well i pick it up in the next week or so. Its done 77k with fsh, Auto, Black leather, import in pretty much std trim bar the thrust p2 exhaust and de-cats. Its in silver Not owned a toyota before let alone a supra so be a whole new rwd experience for me. My daily driver is a 1.8 vectra tho also have a ltd ed mk3 astra gsi v6 6speed (200bhp) and am currently building a 350bhp corsa gsi turbo 6 speed to take round the ring this summer I am a very competatnt mechanic and know vauxhalls pretty much inside out but when it comes to Toyota its completely foreign to me lol so be tapping you all for knowledge Paul Some spec and pics: Toyota Supra Twin Turbo JDM Import 77k FSH Auto (manu override) Imported 1999 2 owners (un-officially 1 as was put into 2nd owners name to get round a divorse lol) Climate Control All electric Thrust p11 exhaust system with de-cat Full leather Traction Control Rear LSD More history with it than you can shake a stick at Otherwise completely stock and un-molestered atm lol Plans: Stock spoiler, Facelift clear front indicators and maybe a set of fat rims. Not into crappy bodykits, want to keep it as stock as poss http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/118/17012009134wl6.th.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/9048/17012009142gf3.th.jpg http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/8403/17012009139rz8.th.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/3093/17012009138le6.th.jpg http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/2154/17012009136xc4.th.jpg http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/8607/17012009135au8.th.jpg Edited January 20, 2009 by scooby999 (see edit history)

patrikbrunt
Hello to you! I used to be a bit of a vauxhall lad also... corsa project sounds fun, I had a mk3 astra with c20let in and about 270 bhp and that was handful enough! Good fun though

scooby999
ive had 3 astra turbos also and know what you mean but still rekon the engine goes far better in a corsa or nova. So what is supra driving like compared to hot hatch Hello to you! I used to be a bit of a vauxhall lad also... corsa project sounds fun, I had a mk3 astra with c20let in and about 270 bhp and that was handful enough! Good fun though
patrikbrunt
the two are barely comparible... the supra is such a different car to drive! the astra was harsh and brutal, but a right hoot! the supra is so much more refined, you dont notice the speed or acceleration quite as much. Also with the sequential turbos the power delivery is so much smoother, less of a kick up the arse at 4k+ rpm! I'd have another C20LET equipped car for sure, but dont think I could live with it as a daily drive. I think you have the right idea building a trackday corsa turbo, stripped right out with sorted suspension and brakes it'd be an absolute animal
