hadyn
How practical/safe are these tyres to use on an everyday daily driver TT??
JamieP
They are a good tyre, not needed at bpu level though imo, ive never tried it but id avoid standing water.
hadyn
So not very good in the rain/wet conditions then?
JamieP
Mine are fine in the rain, but with not much in the way of tread i cant see them moving much water if you hit a big puddle.
Bobbeh
I'd say a dry weather tyre only tbh, you can go out in the rain but not really have any fun with them on... unless you like going sideways
DARETT
Standing water and R888's are a big no no, having experienced some 4wd drifting before after hitting standing water, I can tell you it would not be nice in a rwd...
Paul Whiffin
They are fine until you get standing water, on the track they work well in the wet as long as the heat is kept in them, which is sometimes difficult to do in this country. Wez
Great tyre unless you have a lot of standing water. I once had a tricky drive to Essex in very heavy rain, not a nice experience and anything over 65mph felt like I was driving on a frozen lake. Kranz
Have you driven on a frozen lake? Yes, at Arjeplog Sweden. 7 mile circuit of fun Although all the cars we had on the test trip all spun off at the same time Its no fun trying to get a Frontera out of a snow drift in the middle of nowhere, but a handy tip is to jam the interior under the driving wheels to get grip You can have a go too http://au.travel.yahoo.com/great-outdoors/sweden/frozen-lake-driving-sweden.html
