Luka-P
Need some advice please people. Got the engine sorted today and I was ready to fire it up. I decided to pour a little oil into the bores to help out with the initial compression and startup. Problem is, I went a bit mad with one bore and poured too much in. I have no idea what to do now! Will it leak down after a while? Any help will be great please guys. Luke.
Kranz
No, it won't leak down. Get a syringe and suck it out.... Or even better get a small bore hose and tape it to a vax (wet & dry vacuum cleaner), then suck it all out easily
edge
Shame your not local as ive just thrown out a good vacuum. Like said above get rid, it will be cheaper to buy another vac.
Matt _Aero top_
how much is too much ? can't you just fire it up and let it smoke for a bit ?
Luka-P
Nope, too much of a glug went in and I'm worried about cranking it. Really feel like a goon at this stage!

Luka-P
I know, gutted! Was just tipping some in and the bottle went over too far. I've got a syringe so I'll get it all out tomorrow.
Chris Wilson
Just spin it over with the plugs out for a few seconds.
Kranz
Just spin it over with the plugs out for a few seconds. I was going to suggest this but was concerned about the catalyst. I suppose if he's not running a cat this will be fine. Probably will be fine with a cat as it should all burn off, but it could possibly contaminate the cat active metals. Luka-P
All cleared out now guys. Did a mixture of the two, sucked it all out with a baster then turned it over for a bit with the plugs out.
