Hi all,

I need to spend some money and TLC on my Supe bless her. Ive had her for three years now and shes not missed a beat. Ive just had one electrical problem with one of the circuit board on the back lights, which was replaced, but thats it.

but shes now nearing the time for a service and so i need this doing but also wondered if theres anyone near Chesterfield who i can take it to to have a real good look over her, someone who knows what theyre looking for.

I think the suspension bushes needs doing as theres the usually knocks when you go over the dreaded speed bumps (Grrr) but also theres a squeaking happening when i get full lock on.

I just want to make sure shes running alright and i dont have the skill to know what im looking at really.

Anyone near Chezzy that is willing to go over her with a fine toothcomb at all - obviously i will pay for this, including the service etc as long as its reasonable! lol :)

Thanks all.

Foz.

I think you may have to go a little further afield than Chesterfield.

There are no local specialists, only basic garages that deal all day in Mondeos and Vectras

They may know where to put the oil and filter, but i wouldnt go much further than that, you will be paying them to break bits and learn in the process!

hey Rob, thats what i thought, i dont want to use a local garage - rather use someone who knows the Supe instead of the local 'Mondeo/Astra' guy.....

Erm who do you use mate, do you do it yourself?

*you know whats coming next dont you?*

;)

:yeahthat: I've looked before for local garages around the sheffield area that know about supra's but to no joy .

I do my own work, but i would only be happy to work on any other car to do basics or things i understand.

Creative's friend at Toyota would be a better bet.

well hes their main diagnostics guy there and really knows his stuff.

as swampy says a car is a car but I think it boils down to trusting someone with your car. He got mine running absolutely spot on after I had parked it in the lake :rlol:

they are clamping down on their staff doing guvvies at the mo but I also happen to have a massive garage that I have said he can use if he needs to get some work done.

I will put it to him.
