SupraD06
Interested to know how you did that in a few hours, looks like they have lost all the finish, but the one next to it looks like new. Good job

SupraD06
I use Meguiars NXT on my alloys, the polished lip on mine didnt look as shiney with the clear lacquer, so i didnt have any put on, i used the Meguiars NXT which goes on as a hard wax and it gives a super shine finish and also seals the metal from moisture etc, had my alloys on for about 5 months now without lacquer and all i do is put a layer on the wheels each time i wash the car, no problems at all
supra matt
Nice work mate best bet is clear lacquer
buster
Meguiars NXT you say! will have to give it a try cant wait to get them all done and on the supe think they will suite it very nicely
jamesmark
You could have put a little effort with the one on the right.
Tricky-Ricky
Nice job, i had a set of those on my old S14, and took off the lacquer and just polished the rims, but they do tend to tarnish easy. Guest CoolsBlue
so they got a dull texture? which means laquer should be ok to stick to it? no greasy, oily surface?
Stonkin
I would use something like Poorboys Wheel Sealant (3 coats) http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/poorboys-wheel-sealant/prod_9.html Its very good at maintaining a wheels finish and makes future cleaning very easy. The NXT will work well but due to the heat build up, the Poorboys will probably last longer, especially at this time of year.
suprattgaz
You have to REALLY stay on top of waxing if you go that way - and i have never been able to keep it good enough to stop the ally oxidising (on my old sup i did the same as you by polishing the laquer off and having bare metal). Suggest laquer of some sorts is the better option from experience
