Hi, i desparately want to buy a Supra, but as of yet have never even sat in one! So, if anyone can throw some info my way, that would be great. I am going to buy a n/a with a manual gearbox, ( i dont think i can justify the costs of a tt ).

1 What should i be looking for in prospective cars?

2 Do i need to worry about lack of history/import papers?

3 Any mechanical issues i should specifically look out for?

4 How much power can you extract from a n/a car?

5 Are they really fast? I read 0-60 times of about 6 secs, is that correct? And are they fast in gear?

6 Are they comfortable and well made? I have a Jaguar XJS and thats brilliant! But i want something I can throw about a bit!

any help/advice much appreciated

cheers

Bal :)

1. Magic tree air freshener

2. No

3. The same old things that every 15 year old car suffers from

4. Don't buy an NA and then expect to get more power out of it. Be happy with the power, or buy a TT in the first place.

5. The NA is faster than many things. Glaciers, sloths, and continental drift are all much slower for example.

6. Yes. As with any big heavy RWD car they're not a car that immediately springs to mind when you want something to "throw around a bit", but they handle decently enough unless you want to start sticking 20" wheels and lowered suspension.

Come to ace cafe in Jan - there is a meet happening in London where around 50 supras will be there to give you an idea of what colour/bodykit/model etc. takes your fancy best. Plus you'll get to me the 50 owners..

If you can wait that long.

When is this meet mate?
