Hiya,

I've been thinking about this for some time now. I've done a search but didn't really find much.
I want a single din TV screen which will play DVD's, CD's tune into the radio and have Sat nav. I know Clarion do a touch screen jobbie but I've been warned off it by the bloke in the car audio shop down the street, and the fact that touch screen is just a PITA. What do you guys suggest?
Cheers

I was told that you had to keep cleaning the screen, and in the end it would turn a kinda yellow colour and then it would be difficult to see anything on.
Perhaps the person who told me that was just a very grubby person :(

Whilst I too, dislike touch-screen, I'd have to say, the Clarion in very good value for the money.

Personally, I'd get the Alpine IVA-D900R... A fair bit more expensive, but the quality is superb. (And no naff touchscreen!)

As for Sat-Nav, you won't find a head unit that has Sat-Nav built in. - Again, I'd go for Alpine... In fact, I have both the above :D
Clarions navi system isn't too clever :(

Aint Pioneer is bringing out a new all-in-one thingy (SAT.NAV/DVD/CD/RDS) later this year...AVIC-9 something i think its called? ;)

Cant comment on what sat.navs. that are any good though...cause in Norway only Blaupunkt and VDO Dayton sat.nav systems have got maps to cover all of norway... Major bummer

Have to agree twith Mat tho...on the DVD/SCREEN/CD/RDS players...the Clarion is my fav too ;)
