marbleapple
Evening people I removed the dash panel around the gear knob this weekend and noted that there were 2 connectors sitting there doing nothing. I just wondered if any one would tell me what they are for? Thanks

Thats nice to know... knowing my car I thought it was a high likelyhood that some dohickey of vital importance that controlled everything was missing! marbleapple
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone disconnected the Vital Doohickey Device? Having seen some stuff the previous owners have done to my car you might realise that it is quite a possibility.

supra matt
Toyota just put a stock loom that dose all the extras in place . if you look under the stereo you down the side of the seats you will find wires for heated seat's unless you have them any way? Supra-Brett
On a manual? interesting Think hes correct though. I recall asking this question some time ago when i removed my dash. Im sure the same answer came back. I think the loom must be compatible with both manual and auto (waits for the hail of Nooooooooo comments)

Homer
They're connectors for the auto shifter lights and O/D (and other stuff on the shifter, can't remember all of them) they can be seen in this pic (ignore the marked parts, that was for something else!)
