supraspeed Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) as some of you no my gearbox exploaded and being a single n/a (with n/a gearbox still in) means i'm looking at some other options. ive just managed to get a cheap n/a gearbox and free fitting (after much threatening of trading standards to the gearbox place after they fixed my n/a box instead of putting a stronger one in...) anyways!... another n/a box is being put in as i need a vehicle and ive stil got 6 months of ins left which i loose out massivly if cancelled..not to mention the ncb. i'l just drive it sensibly for six months until i make my decision i dont really fancy getting a 6 speed conversion cos i was told its going to cost the best bit of 4k for the conversion. Other options ive considered with pro's and cons: .de-tune into n/a (unknown £'s and no more power) .5-speed soarer/mk3 conversion (finding ppl to do the conversion and cost) .tt transplant (cost?) .auto (i dont like auto's lol) .sell as a project with n/a box still in (loose out £££'s) .sell as seen and hopefully nobody notices the box....... supraspeed Posted December 7, 2008 Author Share Posted December 7, 2008 this is why i'm keeping hold of it until the market sorts its self out- or i save up enough for a decent conversion- problem is i can't put it on a dyno or see the boost as it will blow the box so i can't really find out hows its running either just one problem after another...
