Lads just a quick question on where do i stand with this incident I

had today leaving work. As i was leaving work a transit van

was coming in (postman,to collect the post) he stops and flashes

me to let me out, gap was way too narrow so i didnt even

move, i laughed to myself and said does he expect me to fit

through that :p anyway him in his transit with his great

calculations in his head decided that the soup cant fit through

but my transit can  as im at a full stop waiting on him

to either reverse and let me move out he decides that he will

shoot past me, as he does all you here is a big scraping noise :(

blood boiled and fists clinched (automatically) few lads that

were outside the building having a smoke even heard this, he was

on the back of my car, just over the driver side rear wheel, then

he reverses back to me , all you here is sraping noise again.

He then has the cheek to say, everything alrite mate, i said to

him you just hit my F$%king car, Did I ??? he replies

as i jump out of the soup.

Scrape and scuff marks over the back wheels on the arch.

paint missing along the edge, its just gone black there :(

so after some words i take his details and he says to ring it

in to his job and register it. I took his name and his reg of

the post van (as they are in and out of our place on a daily basis)

Now im snapping here over this, i mean i went to work today

with my car in perfect nick and now have scuff marks

and scratches above the back wheel. He said to ring it in

and his crowd would organise for an assessor for be sent out.

Its just a small section where the damage is but the car is flip

painted and he was at fault,. he said look you seem grand, the car is your pride and joy, im not going to get into an argument

with you, if you say i hit you then i did.

5 people inc myself seen/saw/heard him hitting me.

where do i stand with regards to getting these lovely

scuffs and scratches out of my car ? Will a machine polish

do the job or would we be looking at getting a panel done , possible respray. Im not trying to do the dog here with this postman fella but at the end of the day he did the damage, i said to him even the spray job cost 4500 euros etc but at the end

of the day i want the damage you caused removed from my

car, whether its a machine polish or a respray, you damaged

it so you fix it.

Sorry about the long rant but im fairly pi$$ed off here :(

ya thats what i was saying too but i even said to the guy that we can machine

polish it firstly and see how that turns out ..... and added at the end of the day mate

your paying for it as you caused them damage, its simple as that really

if you can feel it with your nail its not gonna polish out.
