monsween Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Right, Time to service the car and get the cam belt done. I did search and found the old threads. So ive called the Garage, Hypertech and Wallace Performance. I live in Aberdeen but my folks are in Edinburgh so all places are within reach. Wallace seem pretty expensive and have quoted 8hrs to do the job with no price for parts. Hypertech are 5 hours to do the job and priced the same as the 8hr job with parts. I use the local garage for 90% of the work on the supra and they cope fine with the car . Anything a bit more advanced goes to a local lad whos well clued up on Jap cars . Im still swithering about BPU for next year and i want to know if everything is in good workin order in preparation for it if i go down that route. Scott Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 I know that the Garage have worked on loads of sup's over the years. The main problem i have with them is that they never deliver. I gave them my car and they had it for a fortnight to sort out the turbo's. They never even looked at the thing! A couple of the guys are pretty good though. mobius Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Used Hypertech a few years back with my V8 Soarer, Duncan knows his stuff, and proudly displays his Toyota mechanic of the year award in the office. He used to work for Toyota/Lexus before setting up Hypertech, don't use him now purely because my 3.0ltr soarer easier to work on and local mechanic cheaper and a mile from my house.
