I currently own and MR2 turbo with a forged lump and want to put it in a supra. I've read as much as I can from the search but can find the answers I'm looking for. My options are as follows: 1. Buy a N/A auto and put my engine and 5 speed gearbox in. 2. Buy a 6 speed N/A and mate my engine to the 6 speed. But what I wanted to know is will my 5 speed mr2 gearbox be ok to fit and is the 6 speed N/A gearbox the same and the 6 speed TT one. I really want to do this as I cant part with my engine as I have spent a lot on it and plus I would like to track it and use it as a daily driver. I also think its nice to do something different. Sorry if this has already been asked I know it can be annoying But I have searched and havent found what I was looking for. johnny g Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 The 3SGTE will fit, right up against the rear bulkhead for great weight distribution. The E153 turbo box will not be good though, it's really a FWD box that's being used in the back of the MR2 to drive the rear wheels. Search on here for gearbox models for the 6 Spd though.
