IAC Gasket

I ordered the above gasket last week and was told that I was the first in the UK to order one!

The parts guy's had to get it in from Belgium and could tell on the parts system that it had not been ordered in the UK before.

I know it's a steel gasket but, has no-one really not ordered one before ?

A car that has stopped being made and a part never being ordered before for the UK market ?

There is a disk that sits just inside the Intake Manifold with a spoke like steel cover on one side and a rubber disk on the other side.

Just wanted to see how it worked :)

I've seen enough of that thing these last few days :)

I know the bit you mean, it's a one-way valve, stops manifold rpessure feeding back through the idle speed controller. Once I get a camera up and running (duff battery) I'll take a piccy of the spare one I have.

And the gasket should last forever, it's steel and the only thing it seals against is atmospheric pressure :thumbs:

Thanks Ian - I as not sure if it could be reused so, for £2 to replace it, it was a no brainer.
