Hi all,

I was hoping one (or a few) of you could help me?

ive seen this on fleabay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-Manual-new-shape-18-Alloys-nice-car_W0QQitemZ110312562605QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item110312562605&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A7|39%3A1|240%3A1318

is it too good to be true? It's literally a 5 min drive away from me...

looking at the pice id probably assume its been running on regular 95 octane for a while, which ive read in the 2 guides (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=60)

its got 90k km on the clock - i text him before

by what i can see the NA isnt too tunable... eventually id like a car that can get to 60 in around 6 to 6.5 secs but i dont wanna spend 5k in mods getting it there! im not sure if thats possible on the NA

fuel consumption could also be an issue I do 22-25k miles per year so ill be spending loaaaadss - i know LPG conversions can be done, but i dont know what this is going to do to the engine! i know that the conversions run lower bhp, but thats fine for tootling to work!

I think i can get 3-3.5k for my car and would love to just do a straight swap!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I need to reserve my 20 posts before having to pay for membership! thats why my posts are so long!

Cheers,

Russ.

any ideas about where to look? Ive been on pistonheads, ebay, autotrader but thats all i can think of!

I was hoping to spend less than 4k really. Will it only be the ropey cars you can get for this do you think?

Ill have to see what i can do about insuring a tt by the sounds of it! I think ill give sky a call and see what they can do for me!

Anyone aware of any bargains in the north west?

Cheers, russ

Given the current market I would say that's rather expensive. You could buy something similar for around or even under 2K if you have cash, will travel and know what to look for. For that money you can buy tidy TT's. I would also say anyone worrying about the cost of filling the tank, and doing a substantial annual mileage might be better NOT looking at old 3 litre cars ;) A decent LPG conversion will cost more than the car's worth!
