Dyer864
Hi all ! Been having a few suspension probs. lately , had to change my rear coilovers back to billy's, as one was k****erd ! had new falken 452's put on, as old ones were worn, but still the car is skitting from one side to another, like wobbly Had garage to check wheels for any play, thought bearings could av gone , but the garage said no play, i heard passenger side wine a few months ago but then went , so could it be bearings if they av gone would there be alot of play and make a noise or could they av gone without any tell tale sign ! Anyway garage wouldn't touch wheels to do bearings cos there's too many connecting arms and didn't want to disturb them or damage anything MY AR*E !! So as anyone got any other ideas wot it could be ?, all arms seem in tact , slight play in one upper wishbone bush , but nothing major they said . Tell you the truth a bit frightend to drive now, as it's quite nervy with the back end bobbing around everywhere !:(
paul mac
i dont think a wheel bearing alone could cause your woe unless the wheel was literally hanging off, jack the car up off the ground and wrestle the wheel round to feel for play, if i were you i would start pulling all the suspension apart looking for snapped or worn bits including the shocks, if you dont feel confident find a reputable garage asap as it doesn't sound like your car is safe

Dnk
You dont need a specialist just a decent mechanic that knows his arse from his elbow my local village garage does most of my work without any problems and dont charge over the odds either.
