Automatic tranny fluid sticker on a manual...?

I just got back from getting the tranny fluid changed. Just when they were about to put in the fluid, the guy comes up and says "There's a red sticker on the cap that says use automatic fluids only...".

We were both kinda confused, but still went ahead with the manual fluid instead. Does anyone else had this too? Mine is a J-Spec btw.

I went to the Toyota service shop and asked for the V160 Fluid, since I read that it is the only fluid approved for use. But they said that they do not carry those anymore, and instead they printed out the fluid data specifications for me. It listed 'API GL-5 SAE 75W-90', so I followed exactly what it says. Should I go back and replace it back with the ATF?

I can still get the V160 oil if needed.

6spd uses ATF buddy. As far as i know everyone uses automatic fluid. You have to be very careful with what oil you put in too so if i were you i would be getting the proper stuff and having it changed before u start rotting through seals.

Would this happen if using MTF rather than ATF?

I'm worried as I have changed mine with MTF!
