at 1.2bar when it gets above 4000rpm its like it hits the limiter early the warning light in the centre of the rev counter comes on and the management light to the right of the steering wheel comes on too for about 5seconds then runs normally again. its handled 1.2 in the past ok ive turned it down to 1bar. any ideas what could be causing it?

Seems like you have fuel cut at 1.2 bar.

In case you have stock twins which run a fully decatted exhaust, it can happen that the boost climbs up to 1.2 bar. At this boost level, the stock ecu will switch into fuel cut mode where the red triangle in the center of the dashboard will blink 2-3 times and the throttle is automatically lifted.

What specs do you have??

Your fuel cut defender isn't set correctly, possibly it's come out of adjustment over time and is letting the stock ECU see 1bar of boost or more. There should be an adjuster in the unit that lets you tweak the voltage it clamps at, although be careful with this as if you turn it down too low you'll run lean on high boost and lunch your engine for real :)
