Suspension dilemma

Evening folks,

I have had my Supra for a little while now and use it as my daily drive to work and back, I also run in the toyota sprint series and do various track events. Now I have a set of HKS coilovers (Himax I think) and they are doing my head in. I live in the fens and the roads are not very forgiving so I am looking for something to suit all my driving and track fun.

Tall order I would imagine but maybe some one could lead me to a setup they have, so i dont make a costly mistake. The coilovers are great on the track but that is only 5% of my driving time so not a good move.

Regards

I like my setup, not harsh except over the worst of really broken road surfaces, comfy for long distance drives (e.g. Nurburgring) and it's great on track too.

But before you go changing anything, are you sure some monkey hasn't set the pre-load on your current setup to be really stiff?

Like a lot of people here I would recommend Chris Wilson's set up - had it done on my UK spec and it is superb. I know many on here have had it done and have almost been nothing but complimentary. Get it fitted and set up by Chris and you'll never look back.

This is an area that is intresting me alot. now i have a run around i dont have to drive the supra everday which means i can look more to have it setup for track use. my original idea was to get a set of Tein Superstreet coilers overs with EDFC pillowball mounts and then stiffen it up with strut bars front and back. however many people are recommending the CW setup.

as long as i can raise the height of the car (just enuff to get over high track kerbs *llandow* and get a nice stiff car for track use.. with some comfyness for when i drive it on the street id be happy

so yeh talk to CW.
