GOOD AFTERNOON.

I HAVE WASTED A GOOD FEW HOURS TRYING TO KIND SOME NEW TYRES FOR MY 95 NA IMPORTED SOOP.

CURRENTLY I HAVE MICHELIN PILOT 245/50 ZR 16's ON THE BACK END, BUT IT SEEMS THAT THERE ARE FEW PEOPLE WHO STILL SUPPLY THEM.

I HAVE BEEN QUOTED 210 SQUID SO FAR - IS THAT RESONABLE?

I HAVE ALSO GONE BACK THROUGH THE SERVICE RECORDS AND IT SEEMS THAT A YR SET OF TRYES WERE PUT ON IN 2002. AS I UNDERSTAND IT THIS JUST REFERS TO A DIFFERENT SPEED RATING.

COULD ANYONE PLEASE CONFIRM WHICH SPEC IS SUITABLE + GIVE ME ANY DETAILS OF A RESONABLE SUPPLIER AROUND THE OXFORDSHIRE AREA.

/

ALTERNATIVELY ARE THERE ANY OTHER SUITABLE BRANDS INCL SPECS / PRODUCT CODES THAT I COULD GO FOR.

KIND REGARDS

RICHARD FLETCHER

Jeez you TT wide boys! never happy unless you've got lambo sized rubber on.

Richard 245 is standard and i would say fine especially if you fit quality rubber.

I'd personally recommend Goodyear Eagle F1's GSD3 (used to have) or Toyo Proxes T1-S (running currently) over the Kumho's. They will be approx £100 a piece though and if you are thinking of upgrading the 16's soon then maybe the Kumho's or any budget tyre is an ok 'stop gap'.

BTW all the above will i'm almost sure be a high speed rating ie v w y z etc and fine for your car.
