Updated dash

Well i finally got rid of the 'short circuit' double din head unit and bought myself a new one. I thought i would do the LED conversion to match the new stereo more. I also added a little pocket below with some LEDs.

Unfortunately my AC buttons are old and dirty so it doesn't shine the nice clear white like the temp and fan knobs - its slightly discoloured, but still much better than before, some didn't even light up before anyway.

I still need to do the buttons at the bottom (slip, spoiler) and the odo. I was hoping my dials were going to come out white as well but they have more of a blueish tint to them, again still better than before.

The pictures, obviously look really bright on here but there not:

And i just found the fan thingy on my desk that stops the light shining through to light up the inidicator mark

Yeah that looks good! Was that easy enough to do? I bookmarked a guide on how to do it a while ago but never got round to it.

I found it very fiddly and time consuming. I was getting more used to doing it at the end but it isn't really neat and tidy like some of the guides i've seen!

I didn't do the indication LEDs because i was running out of LEDs, but they are fairly straight forward.

I just looked at a photo i took of it and it doesn't look too messy:

I just modified the bulb holders rather than soldering direct to the board so that i can change it back to bulbs if anything goes wrong

Thats looking pretty sweet mate. Will have to get myself down to a JNE meet and see it in person one month.

Thinking about sorting out another drive or something soon too.

i did this but had to adjust the resistor values as the values given on the supraforums write up didn't make much sense. I made my own values up and had to run a few in parrallel to get the current dissipation i needed.

I did mine a while ago too, but got Heckler to do the aircon controls. Came out really nicely and matches my head unit perfectly. My dials are also slightly blueish but I'll sort that later.
