Ewen
A newbie question perhaps (yes I searched too). Got a possible long trip coming up, circa 600 miles each way...I like my loud droning exhaust but the passenger doesn't. Will the restriction of a bung do any harm over this sort of distance with lots of motorway driving / overtaking etc ?
tDR
No it'll be fine - you'll likely see your boost drop a bit due to the restriction. EGT's will raise as a result but with stock fuelling that isn't a problem. Cheers, Brian.

ivan
You may find that the bung causes a few strange and new noises as 3 litres of exhaust tries to squeeze out through a 1" hole. I know mine did.
Ark
Mine ran good as gold - made the same boost, but produced less power at that boost. Quiet enough to get me into Bedford autodrome, so it must make a difference to the volume
chilli
interesting, where can you get these from? Are they only available for a certain specific make/type or can you get general purpose ones based on the size of the tailpipe?
Ark
Blitz exhausts come with them as standard. You can buy HKS ones to suit. Alternatively you can generally find generic ones to suit other brands.
jaymdee
My RSR makes a lot iof wooshing type noises with the bung in it at full throttle/boost. I also lose about 0.2 Bar boost with it in
Ark
My RSR makes a lot iof wooshing type noises with the bung in it at full throttle/boost. I also lose about 0.2 Bar boost with it in Good point. My boost controller hides that.
