power steering pump

hi I have a supra n the power steering is making a whining noise when u turn left or right now i had the pump removed sent away and reconditioned when it came back and was refitted it still made the same noise so the recon people just refunded the money n said you'll need to get a new or s/hand one!! So no help at all really n i'm outta pocket for the mechanic removin n refittin the pump. Does anyone have a solution or encountered this prob before, if it turns out i need another pump i take it im at the right place to find one...can anyone help my frame no. is jza800010505 n the model no. is jza80alpqz cheers.

sounds like it needs bleeding, make sure the fluid is topped right up, leave the cap off and turn it left to right to full lock about a dozen times, if that does not solve it then a new pump is needed. welcome by the way;)

you would have liked to have thought that the mechanic should have known to do that though?
