Hi guys ,

i am new to this forum and i am looking for some help in choosing a new car.

I currently have a 350 bhp gti-r which i have owned for 5 years, i am looking to replace in with something faster and more grown up.

I am thinking about possibly getting a supra or an evo 6, i would like your input on which would be the best supra for me. As i know about the pit falls of the evo. Are the auto's any good or am i best off with a manual etc.

The supra will only be used for fun as i have a company car for daily use.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

P.S i have not even managed to get a sit in a supra yet

Hi and welcome,

Firstly 350bhp gtir, bet thats pretty nippy! and TBH you would have to go for the TT version and probably in auto, I imagine you do a lot of 1/4 mile runs??? if so the auto is quicker down the strip and you should go for a j-spec if thats the case, lots of pros and cons of jspec and uk so use the 'search' button and you will find loads and loads of info.

Just to add the manual is great and so is the auto!, most regard the auto as the best auto ever! it really does change peoples minds about auto's! also if you choose an auto there are more available and are usually £1-2k cheaper than a manual of the same spec.

If I was you i'd check out a local meet thats coming up, or go a jap dealer and try a few!:)

HTH!

Tom.
