hey folks i was at suprapod the other day and saw some dash surrounds and gear panels done in carbon fibre dipping, to be honest it was a silver car like mine and looked bloody good, i have had a price from nic but was wondering is there's any1 in the uk who does this or is it just an abroad thing.

What is carbon fibre dipping? CF isn't a liquid!

yeh the real cf is layers i think, this stuff ive seen is a coating that sits on water or fluid and you put the item you wish to change in it and it sticks to it, but if done wrong can look terrible, the price from nic was around £250 with postage there and back, but if there is a company in the UK then should save alot on airmail.

I had something similar to this which was a film you laid on the water and then dipped the panel in order to get a CF style look.

Managed to do a lightswitch and few other bits and pieces, attempted to do a dash panel and it just went horribly wrong.

Where did you get the film from Gav? I wouldn't mind trying it with some smaller things.

Pretty sure it isn't CF but rather just a film that gives the look, this stuff ends up like gelatin after a while.
