Auto Box Question

I recently managed to lose all my gearbox oil via the elbow that comes from the auto box sump - due to smashing it off.

Ive now welded a new elbow onto the sump, but i have lost all the gearbox oil - and car no longer engages gears (due to no oil around the torque converter)

My question is - when i have put the sump back on - will i be able to fill it with oil from the dipstick pipe ? As to do it properly would require ramps, and to get it to ramps i need it to move haha. So could i just sit there for 3 hours pouring d3 down the dipstick tube ??.

Rewason i ask is, when you do an oil change it says about 2 litres without removing the sump, and i have removed the sump so im guessing it needs about 8 litres back in it.

Any help greatfull appreciated, not sure if this should be in tech questions - but there you go

Mike
