Amir khan
Hi all, im currently in the process of fitting my bodykit, iv never done anything like this before. I have a Bomex front, Veilside sideskirts and trial rear. I bought the front bumper and skirts straight out the mould so got them very cheap just needed hours and hours of sanding to get them into shape the front went on nice and easy so to speak the sideskirts are proving dificult, do they need to be drilled into position in addittion to the screws in the arches??? anyone got a guide? also has anyone got any pics of the sideskirt with the door open? Trial rear went on ok, good fit, just how do you get the area behind the wheel arch to stay flush with the body! screws?? no nails?? any other tips or advice thanks! benkei
Are they genuine, or replicas? Most replicas don't fit very well and need a lot of attention! I'd expect genuine bodykits to have oem fitment and go straight on. Need more info
Daston
When I took my side skirts off (genuine Veilside) it had the screws in the arches. 1 screw by the air intake (the door covers it when closed) and I think it was 4 screws underneath the skirt running along by the under seal of the car. alaing
Is it being re painted? When i did my skirts they needed a lot of pulling around! I used counter sunk screws (to be coverd with filler after) to pull it in where i needed it then spacers to push out where i needed it. jacko
Ive just fitted my Do Luck (style) front bumper and that doesnt fit too well, Im just going to push it into place (and crack it) and then drop it back at the bodyshop and theyre going to sort it on the car
Amir khan
Well the front bumper and skirts were made of a mould of originals. The front was a good fit, the skirts fit but need to be held down otherwise they kind of twist and pop off!
Tricky-Ricky
This is presuming they are intended to be a permanent fitment, try and fettle them to the best fit possible by adding/removing fibreglass, then glue them on with Sikaflex, and also use self tapers ( which can be removed when the adhesive is set and then filled) you can also use tape and wedges in areas that cant take screws, check out my body kit fitting thread in projects.
